Individual Therapy for Adults

We offer individualized therapy to break old patterns and navigate major life transitions. Grounded in mindfulness practices that increase your self-awareness in the present moment, we work with a wide range of issues, including:

  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Substance Abuse
  • Attention-Related Disorders (ADD/ADHD)
  • Social Anxiety and Isolation
  • Obsessive or Delusional Thinking
  • Family and Relationship Conflict
  • Coming Out and LGBTQQI* Issues
  • Chronic and Terminal Illness
  • Grief and Loss
  • Planning for Parenthood

We generally provide weekly 50-minute therapy sessions, though we can make other arrangements when appropriate. Through a long-term therapeutic relationship, we will help you to examine your barriers to building trust, dismantle outdated habits and patterns, build more fulfilling relationships, integrate the narratives and meanings of your life experiences, and cultivate greater peace, joy, and freedom.

Couples Therapy

Many couples seek therapy to address recurring misunderstandings and conflict, infidelity or broken trust, or to plan for parenthood or other life transitions. Some couples come to therapy to help their relationships survive and grow stronger; others to end their relationships in a healthy way. Whatever your hopes or goals, our therapists maintain a caring objectivity and support you to have meaningful dialogue.

In sessions, we’ll support you to talk to each other directly about your conflicts and misunderstandings. We’ll provide a safe and structured environment to address these misunderstandings as they happen in the present moment, and we’ll help you identify and express your needs more clearly to each other. We’ll also teach and model active listening and effective communication skills that you can take home and practice in your daily lives.

We welcome same-sex partners and nontraditional relationship configurations. Several of our therapists have specialized training in serving LGBTQQI* relationships and families.

*Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Intersex
